287 petitions were delivered to lawmakers across the country Wednesday, asking for our troops to be brought home from Iraq.
Moveon.org organized the petition drive.
The Tulsa Peace Fellowship delivered one of those petitions to the office of Congressman John Sullivan at 5727 South Lewis. They say 80-percent of Iraqis and a majority of Americans want the US out of Iraq.
Cecil Williams with the Tulsa Peace Fellowship: "We feel like we're fighting a no win battle. They don't want us over there, they don't even like one another, so it's time for us to bring the boys home."
40 Democratic senators and one independent also sent a letter to President Bush Wednesday, calling on him to be more frank with Iraqis and the American public about the war.
