Malls and stores are full of shoppers looking for the perfect Christmas gifts, but how do you know the gifts you've chosen are really perfect?
News on 6 anchor Tami Marler spoke with some kids in a tough age group about what they're hoping to find under the tree.
Many websites have lists of the hottest gifts for everyone, but for kids with discriminating tastes, we went straight to the source.
Kids at Wilson Middle School are in the pre-Christmas deal-making stage. They hope Santa's watching so he'll grant their wishes Christmas morning.
In the $100 range, iPods and accessories are high on the list. Target managers say electronics are flying off the shelves and kids know exactly what they want.
Mollie wants a digital camera, "because it's portable, you get to take pictures with it, you can print it, and it's nice to have."
Mollie says a photo printer would be nice, too.
Climbing up the price ladder, a portable DVD-player would also be a Christmas hit.
Francisco says, "I would be happy with one because it's kind of boring if you're taking a trip somewhere and you're just watching what's outside. You can be watching movies instead."
"If you're thinking about clothing for your picky kid, there are a couple of rules you should follow for sure. Otherwise, get them gift cards to all the right stores, and let them decide what's cool."
Kids list Old Navy, Aeropostale, Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap, Kohl's, American Eagle, and Dillard's among their favorites.
Just some of the labels kids like this year, and don't even try to fool them with pleather or knock-off brands.
And the ultimate gift this Christmas: the PlayStation PSP.
