Wal-Mart's exclusive Garth Brooks box set goes platinum

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ Wal-Mart Stores said today that its boxed set of recordings by country entertainer and Oklahoma native Garth Brooks has sold 1-million copies.

``Garth Brooks: The Limited Series'' went on sale only at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stores on November 23rd. Customers could pre-order the $25 set through Wal-Mart's site on the Internet.

The compilation includes five CDs, one DVD and a 68-page book.

The collection reached platinum status after 15 days of being on store shelves.
