OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ One man is dead in a house fire Monday morning in southeast Oklahoma City.

Major Brian Stanaland says firefighters returning from another call saw smoke about 10 AM and as they were driving toward the smoke the call came in that a house was on fire.

Stanaland says the firefighters found the body of an elderly man in a back room of the house while they were fighting the flames.

Stanaland says police and fire investigators are working to identify the man and determine the cause of the fire.

No estimate of damage was immediately available to the home and a house next door that had slight damage after also catching fire.
