OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A young boy alerts his grandparents and sister in time to get themout of a house that was destroyed by a fire.
Authorities say the home on the city's northeast side sustained $150,000 in damage and was a total loss.
Deputy Fire Chief Tony Young says 10-year-old David Jones told his grandparents and sister about the fire and they were able to escape unharmed.
David says he saw the fire when he came downstairs and told his family.
Young says firefighters arrived two minutes after being called about the blaze but the house was already significantly damaged.
He says high winds might have added to the destruction.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
