There's been an increase in syphilis cases in Tulsa County.
The state Health Department says 45 percent of the 20 syphilis cases in Tulsa this year were among gay or bisexual men. That's up 2 percent from last year.
In Oklahoma County, only 12 percent of cases in 2004 were identified among gay and bisexual men. The Tulsa City-County Health Department is hoping more people will take precautionary steps.
