A Craig County District Court judge has approved an order to exhume the body of a 75-year-old woman who died in September.
Geraldine Lawhorn was buried in Vinita after her death in Tulsa. At the time of her death, officials believed she died of natural causes. It wasn't until a Tulsa World newspaper carrier told police last month that he killed her and another customer on his newspaper route, that authorities began looking into the deaths.
64-year old Paul Williford [pictured] told Tulsa Police he has mental problems and that he quote "blew up" in recent weeks. He was arrested in October in connection with assaulting a third woman at her home. He told police he would purposely not deliver their newspapers so they would call him to re-deliver. Police believe that's when he would attack the women.
The other woman Williford claimed to have killed, 73-year old Donna Stauffer, was cremated, so officials aren't able to investigate that death.
Williford is now in the Tulsa County jail on more than $1-million bond.
