OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Former state Representative Lloyd Fields formally announced Tuesday he's running for state labor commissioner.

Fields is a former Democratic state representative from McAlester. He left the state House in 2002 to run for labor commissioner but lost to Republican Brenda Reneau 52 to 48 percent.

Reneau plans to run for re-election.

Fields also ran unsuccessfully for the state Senate in 2003 after the resignation of former Senator Gene Stipe.
