A former Green Country high school athlete is behind bars accused of robbing a man, not for his wallet or car, but for drugs.
Tulsa's gang unit arrested Tony Cotton[pictured left]. He was the star quarterback for Kellyville High School last year.
Tulsa Police are still looking for Curtis Matlock[pictured right]. They say Cotton and Matlock tried to rob a man of his marijuana in the parking lot of the Promenade Mall a couple of weeks ago. There was gunfire and the victim says Matlock is the one who pulled the trigger.
Kellyville High School officials say Cotton was a great athlete and person, who never got into any trouble.
Cotton told Tulsa Police he is a freshman at Bacone College in Muskogee on a full-ride scholarship, playing basketball. Bacone did not return our calls.
