OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A Blaine County woman shot several times during a home invasion is recovering and may be released from an Oklahoma City hospital soon.
Dreu Kopf told The Associated Press yesterday she's feeling much better since the November 6th attack.
Kopf says she was with her two young children and a family friend at her home east of Watonga when an armed man burst into the house and began firing.
Kopf says she was shot as she fought with the man and managed to escape. Her friend -- 23-year-old Amber Matthews -- was shot in the head and died at the scene. The two children were unharmed.
Prosecutors Thursday charged Windell Grissem and Jessie Johns with first-degree murder, shooting with intent to kill, grand larceny and being felons in possession of a firearm. They're being held without bond.
