Earlier this year, a proposed display of the Biblical story of creation caused controversy at the Tulsa Zoo.
Supporters said the creation display should be allowed because the Tulsa Zoo contains other symbols representing different religions. We wanted to know your thoughts, so we put the question to 500 registered voters in the News on 6-Tulsa World Oklahoma Poll.
We asked participants if they approved or disapproved of efforts to add a Biblical creation display to the Tulsa Zoo. 72-percent of the Republicans surveyed supported the display. 22-percent opposed it. The Democrats we surveyed were more evenly split on the issue. 44-percent approve of the display, 45-percent disapprove. The Oklahoma Poll has a four-percent margin of error.
