Tulsa Police spent most of Monday searching the Arkansas River for evidence in a recent murder.
The police dive team was located at 31st and Riverside Drive searching the river. Police have not said what they are looking for, only that it is more evidence in the investigation into the death of California resident Arvell Givens. His body was found a little over a week ago.
Tulsa Police were searching for Givens after discovering a bloody mattress, jacket and his driver’s license inside a dumpster at the Pecan Creek apartments the day before.
Derrick Greggs [pictured] is being held on a variety of charges including first degree murder in connection with Givens' death.
A police report says Greggs told Tulsa Police he went to the apartment to steal drugs. It also says he confessed to shooting Givens in the head and dumping his body.
