OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association is hiring Jeramy Rich from the Oklahoma Farm Bureau as its new director.

Rich replaces Mickey Thompson, who announced his resignation last month to join a start-up oil-field services company.

Rich has been director of public affairs for the Farm Bureau since 1999.
