CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) -- Grady County authorities have recaptured the men who escaped from the county jail.
Sheriff Kieran McMullen says deputies and the Metro Fugitive Task Force found the last of the three escapees -- 33-year-old Ronald Karl Johnson about 5:30 PM Monday in south Oklahoma City.
Authorities say 25-year-old Timmy Owen was found hiding in a house in Chickasha about 11:15 Monday morning, while Travis Marshall Wallis was discovered about 3:30 yesterday at another Chickasha residence.
Owen and Johnson are accused of overpowering a guard and using a rope made out of bed sheets to escape. The jailer wasn't seriously injured.
Owen was being held on domestic abuse and aggravated assault charges. Johnson was being held on a bond revocation for a drug charge.
McMullen says all three suffered broken limbs after falling from the rope but were able to walk away from the jail. The men were treated at Grady Memorial Hospital and returned to the jail.
