Tulsa County jail escapee Quincy Wilson is back in custody after authorities tracked him down in Joplin, Missouri.
Authorities received information which led them to Joplin. The Joplin Police Department was notified, and following an investigation, Wilson was taken into custody without incident early Monday morning.
Wilson was wanted for several crimes he committed around the Tulsa area.
6 in the Morning reporter Omar Villafranca says Sapulpa Police thought they had 21-year old Quincy Wilson surrounded in an abandoned Sapulpa home near Hickory and Okmulgee over the weekend.
Sapulpa Police received a tip that the fugitive might be hiding in house and they quickly went to work. The special operations team was called in and fired chemicals into the house to force Wilson to surrender.
Authorities later found out, he was not hiding inside the home.
Wilson escaped from the Tulsa County jail on Saturday during a work detail. He was serving time for armed robbery and drug charges. Another inmate, 21-year-old Kenneth Mitchell also escaped, but Tulsa Police captured him a short time later.
The two men are the third and fourth inmates to escape since the sheriff's office took over the jail in July.
