OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Seven current and former soldiers at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, have agreed to plead guilty to participating in a cocaine trafficking ring.
Investigators today announced the seven are accused of accepting bribes for transporting cocaine, while in uniform.
The list includes one Texan, 27 year-old Staff Sergeant Antonio Curry of Fort Worth.
US Attorney John Richter says the case is part of an FBI sting called ``Operation Tarnish Star.''
Richter says each defendant took part in at least three trips from Wichita Falls, Texas, to Oklahoma City.
The charges allege each defendant was paid up to $8,000 for transporting drugs and for recruiting other soldiers.
The defendants are expected to appear in federal court in the next few weeks.
If convicted, each faces a maximum five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
