OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A medium-security juvenile detention facility in Tecumseh earns a perfect score in a recent audit by a national accrediting association.

The Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center was 100 percent in compliance, a rating the director of the Oklahoma Juvenile Affairs director described as almost impossible to receive.

American Correctional Association inspectors check 33 mandatory standards, like obeying fire codes and employing certified medical staff. Then they check 421 nonmandatory standards, like scheduling recreation and providing a library.

Investigators also visited the maximum-security LE Rader Center in Sand Springs. That center was given a 99.5 percent compliance rating.

The third state juvenile detention center -- the Southwestern Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Manitou -- was last inspected in May 2003 and received a 98 percent rating.
