There's good news for workers at the American Airlines' Tulsa maintenance base.
American has ordered what's called "blended winglet" systems for its Boeing 757 aircrafts.
Beginning in November, the airline plans to retrofit 20 of its 757 airplanes with the winglets in Tulsa. The work should last through early 2007. American will also retrofit some of its 737's.
Planes with winglets are more aerodynamic so they burn less fuel.
