STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State coaches say Jason Ricks will be the Cowboys place-kicker.

Ricks beat out Bruce Redden for the kicking job, but special teams coach Joe DeForest says Redden could still handle kickoffs.

Ricks was 11-of-16 on field goals as a freshman two years ago but missed last season with a leg injury.

Redden joined the team as a walk-on and converted 11-of-14 field goals last year.
