STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Former Oklahoma State basketball coach Eddie Sutton will speak to more than 1,000 OSU fraternity and sorority pledges about the dangers of alcohol.
Sutton resigned as head coach in May after being charged with driving under the influence following an auto accident he caused in Stillwater in February. He later pleaded no contest to the charge.
When he retired he announced he would work with the OSU Foundation to help others realize the dangers of alcoholism.
The speech is September 5th and will be Sutton's first official public speaking appearance since that announcement. He'll be joined by Stillwater Police Chief Norman McNickle and Payne County District Attorney Rob Hudson.
