Rosa Parks Elementary School at 145th East Avenue and 44th Street South had to be evacuated Friday afternoon after an air conditioning unit on the roof caught fire.

Students were in class and had to be taken outside, where they stayed for about 30 minutes. No one was hurt.

Smoke did fill a classroom, but there's no word on any damages.
