ELMORE CITY, Okla. (AP) -- For the fifth time in the past two weeks a small earthquake struck in southern Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Geological Society says a magnitude 2.6 earthquake shook the Garvin County town of Elmore City shortly before 8:15 Wednesday morning.
The epicenter for the quake was about eight miles south of Elmore City in southwestern Garvin County.
Garvin County is the most active spot in the state for earthquakes with about 320 recorded there since 1977.
