NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The 2006 season will mark the 100th year of competition for men's basketball as a varsity sport at Oklahoma.

The OU Athletics Department has several plans to honor the anniversary including a special edition logo to commemorate the event.

The 100 Years Of Basketball logo will be featured as a patch on player uniforms and on the Lloyd Noble Center floor in addition to other applications.

Additional activities planned to celebrate the milestone include gameday recognition of former O-U basketball greats and the selection of an All-Century and All-Decade teams.

Sooner fans are can submit their choices for the most influential figures. The 15 players and three coaches that receive the most number of votes will be featured on this year's season tickets.
