A Tulsa garbage man was killed on his first day of work Tuesday.

The victim was a temporary worker. He apparently fell from the truck.

Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor has expressed her condolences to his family.

She says an investigation into what caused the accident will take place, to make sure another tragedy like this doesn't happen again.
