OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Eleven finalists are named in two divisions for the Oklahoma Mayor of the Year awards.
For towns with populations of less than 5,000, the finalists are Elaine Carr of West Siloam Springs, Karen Hawkins of Cherokee, Marlena Campbell Hodson of Carney, Bill Longest of Hooker and Karin Woodruff of Wilburton.
The six finalists for towns with populations of more than 5,000 are Julie Daniels of Bartlesville, Jon Gumerson of Guthrie, Peggy Keenan of Guymon, Jeff Shockley of Poteau, Richard Stone of Ponca City and Donna York of Ada.
The awards are sponsored by the Oklahoma Conference of Mayors and will be presented Saturday during the annual Oklahoma Municipal League awards breakfast in Oklahoma City.
