One Person Arrested Following Fatal Tulsa Shooting

Tulsa's 43rd homicide of the year.

A shooting leaves one man dead and another in the Tulsa County jail. It happened at the Wood Creek Apartments near Brady and Garnett.

Officers arrived just before 2 AM Saturday and found the victim dead at the bottom of a stair case. They say he was shot several times. Witnesses were able to give homicide detectives a good description of the suspect and what led-up to the shooting.

Tulsa Police Captain Matt Kirkland: "The witness stated that the suspect and the victim had been talking for a brief time but the victim turned around to go back into his apartment at which time the suspect shot him and then walked away"

Officers arrested 19 year-old Jesus Talamates Saturday afternoon. He's been booked into jail on a complaint of first degree murder.
