WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) Dan Cody is struggling with another painful injury, but the former Oklahoma defensive end doesn't think this one will cause him to miss another season with the Baltimore Ravens.
During a training camp practice last week, Cody stepped back, planted his foot, and felt pain. This time, it was from an ankle ligament strain.
Last year, it came from an anterior cruciate ligament tear on the camp's first day, and Cody didn't play all season.
The Ravens are hoping Cody's presence as a part-time outside linebacker in a 4-4-3 set, and as a possible starter in a 4-3-4 could lead to a spike in sacks this season.
Cody ranks 2nd all-time at Oklahoma with 25 career sacks.
