The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame announced its 2006 inductees Wednesday.

They held a special ceremony at Tulsa's historic Brady Theater to make the big announcement.

This year's inductees are Leon Russell, Mel McDaniel, the late Eldon Shamblin and the late Carl Radle. There are two special awards being presented one to representative Barbara Staggs, the other to country singer Keith Anderson.

Dr Hugh Foley: "we hope that our ceremonies and inductions bring more awareness to Oklahoma music so Oklahomans can be more knowledgeable about the rich heritage of music from the state."

The 10th annual Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame induction concert and ceremony is October 12th at the Muskogee Civic Center.

Tickets go on sale September 1st.
