OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Governor Brad Henry says the US Department of Agriculture is approving a disaster declaration for Oklahoma's farmers and ranchers in all 77 counties.

The declaration is because of drought, heat and high winds across Oklahoma the past two years. It makes farmers and ranchers eligible for financial assistance through low-interest loans from the USDA's Farm Service Agency.

Farmers and ranchers should contact their local FSA for information on whether they qualify for the loans.
