NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Adrian Peterson is back in the spotlight.

Just a day after his appearance at the Big 12 media days in Kansas City, Peterson taped a segment yesterday for ESPN-2's morning show, Cold Pizza. The taping occurred in the football locker rooms at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman.

The program is featuring Heisman Trophy contenders for the upcoming 2006 season.

After breaking the all-time season rushing record at Oklahoma with 1,925 yards, Peterson finished second in the Heisman balloting in 2004. It marked the best finish ever by a freshman.

The junior currently ranks eighth on Oklahoma's all-time career rushing charts with 3,033 yards.

Peterson's segment is tentatively scheduled to air on Monday, July 31st.
