LAWTON, Okla. (AP) _ A 9-year-old boy has drowned during a swimming party at a house in Lawton.

Lawton Police Captain Jackie LaRoche says about 50 adults and 20 children were at Saturday night's party when the child disappeared in the water.

He was pronounced dead at 8:05 PM.

Police are withholding his name.
