The man accused of a deadly shooting rampage in eastern Oklahoma will remain in jail for now.
Daniel Fears was sentenced to 11 life terms and 104 years in prison for the shooting spree in Sallisaw that killed two people and injured eight others in October 2002. But the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals overturned all of Fears' convictions. It wants the judge who heard the case to enter a plea for Fears of not guilty by reason of insanity.
Fears has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Prosecutors say they plan to ask the appellate court to reconsider the reversal.
