OMAHA, Neb. (AP) _ Ruben Gotay's ninth-inning single scores Kerry Robinson with the winning run as the Omaha Royals beat the Oklahoma RedHawks 7-to-6.
Gotay's heroics last night capped an Omaha rally from a 6-nothing deficit and made a winner of reliever Joe Nelson, who pitched two hitless innings for the Royals.
Adam Hyzdu's 3-run home run in the first inning gave Oklahoma an early lead, and the RedHawks led 6-nothing after Hyzdu's second homer, a 2-run shot in the top of the fifth.
Omaha answered with three runs in the bottom of the fifth, two on a solo home runs by Mike Coolbaugh and Mike Aviles.
The Royals added three more runs in the seventh, with Chad Allen delivering a 2-run double that tied the game.
Robinson singled off Josh Rupe with one out in the ninth and went to second on a passed ball before scoring on Gotay's single.
