Some Tulsa area kids spent time high above Tulsa Friday.
The James H Green Chapter of the Black Pilots of America took dozens of middle school students flying Friday morning. The students are from Antioch Baptist Church's youth summer camp.
The pilots are hoping Friday's lesson in aviation will help students in the future. Retired American Airlines Captain James Green: "Help them keeps their grades up in school, hoping to get some of them to be pilots and work in the airline industry."
The students flew in small engine airplanes in the skies above Riverside Jones Airport. They also got to tour the Tulsa Technology Center.
