OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The USA is getting ready to open the 2006 World Cup of Softball Thursday in Oklahoma City and looking to regain its spot at the top of international play.

The US plays Great Britain in the opening game at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium Thursday evening at 6:30 with Canada taking on Japan in the second game and Australia playing China in game three.
