STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Several homes and buildings that were bought as part of Oklahoma State University's plans to build an athletic village will be used for police training.
The Stillwater Police SWAT Team and OSU officers will conduct tactical urban training exercises in the area before the buildings are demolished or moved.
The training is to include high risk warrant service, tactical building assaults and searches in an urban environment.
The area is north of Boone Pickens Stadium and will eventually be cleared as part of OSU's expansion of athletic facilities.
