Tulsa Police are investigating an unusual shooting with few clues. This case has officers scratching their heads because the victim left the scene on West Easton with the men who shot at her.

News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright explains.

A Lincoln Towncar sustained damage from the three shotgun blasts. One neighbor said it sounded like fireworks, another said it sounded like two trash cans lids banging together.

One woman knew immediately what it was, because she saw it happen and was afraid she was witnessing a murder. “I was getting ready to go to the store and I heard the first shot and I looked out and saw a white girl sitting in the car. The tall boy got out with a shotgun and shot again."

That's when the woman got out of the Towncar and into the suspect's white car. A second man, wearing a bandana, was behind the wheel. "She got out and got in the white car and then he shot again and wiped it off with a towel and they all three went that a way."

Tulsa Police say the car had been reported stolen several hours earlier. Officers say it doesn't appear the woman was forced to go with the men, but it's hard to know for sure.

Tulsa Police Cpl. Jack Ritter: "If some gentleman is standing there with a shotgun, it's hard to say if it's forced. It’s all relative when a weapon is involved."

Officers don't know yet the relationship between the woman and the men or who played a part in stealing the car.

Tulsa Police say they don't believe the woman was hit during the shooting, but can't be sure. They say there is an on-going feud between a couple of families that may have led to Tuesday's violence.
