OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma and 32 other states and jurisdictions reach an agreement with Lorillard Tobacco Company to implement measures to prevent the illegal sale of tobacco products on the Internet and through the mail.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson says that the agreement is one more step in the state's efforts to reduce youth smoking.
He praised Lorillard's decision to end shipments of cigarettes to customers found to be engaged in illegal resale of the products.
He says the company also has agreed to suspend incentive programs for any retailer who engages in illegal sales.
