A month after lightning sparked a massive fire; aggravated residents are considering a lawsuit against operators at the Glenpool tank farm.

Bob Gibson says Explorer Pipeline is negligent, and he wants to be compensated for the drop in his property value. Gibson says he knew what he was moving next to when he built his house in 1994. But he also thinks Explorer should be able to prevent explosions.

"They were good neighbors for a long time, and all of a sudden they haven't been good neighbors. Their safety record lately hasn't been all that great. They're getting a lot of experience putting out fires."

A 2003 fire at the Glenpool farm was at a ConocoPhillips tank and ruled to be the fault of ConocoPhillips.

As for the recent fire, an Explorer spokesman says the tank had lightning protection that meets the standards set by the American Petroleum Institute.
