OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Former Oklahoma forward Taj Gray has been invited to play for the Sacramento Kings' summer league team.

The 2005 Big 12 player of the year was not taken in last week's N-B-A draft, but he'll get a chance to earn a roster spot by playing in the summer league in Las Vegas.

The Kings' team begins practice tomorrow and plays Minnesota on Thursday.

Other summer league players with Oklahoma ties include former Oklahoma State guard Cheyne Gadson and former Tulsa high school guard Kelenna Azubuike (ah-zu-BOO'-kay). They will both play for the Denver Nuggets' summer league team.

The Hornets' summer league team began practicing today and will play its first game Friday against Sacramento. First-round draft picks Hilton Armstrong and Cedric Simmons will both play on the Hornets' 12-man roster.
