OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say they'll be out in full force to patrol the state's roads and lakes for the Fourth of July holiday period.
Lieutenant Pete Norwood says troopers will be watching especially for speeders, drunk drivers and people not wearing seat belts.
The patrol will also be using aircraft to patrol from the air.
The increased presence began Friday and will continue through midnight Tuesday.
Officials say three people were killed in traffic accidents during the Fourth of July weekend last year and another 346 were injured in traffic accidents.
