A church group raising money for camp is the target of fireworks thieves.

This is the first year the Calvary Tabernacle Church has sold fireworks. Their stand is located on 96th Street in Jenks. They hoped to raise about $4,000 for their annual summer camp. But early Wednesday, someone made off with several thousand dollars worth of merchandise.

Jim Clanton: "They took them behind this church. Where they apparently opened them up and took all the firecrackers out of it and loaded them up in cars and left the boxes."

The church has people staying at the fireworks stand in a camper, but they didn't hear anything.
