TULSA, Okla. (AP) Bell's Amusement Park opened its doors to customers looking to ride the roller coaster Zingo or seek other diversions on a sunny, mild day.

Located in midtown adjacent to the Tulsa State Fairgrounds, Bell's bore the brunt of a thunderstorm on June 6th that collapsed over a roughly 2-square-mile area and unleashed hurricane-force winds.

Bell's was near the center of the microburst storm that uprooted trees, blew away roofing and knocked down a church steeple. At the park, it mangled a Ferris Wheel and damaged rides and landscaping throughout.

State labor department inspectors visited the park to check rides before yesterday's reopening.

Work to clear up and restore damage to the adjacent neighborhood continues.
