More than 5,000 books have been collected in the Tulsa area for the News on 6 Caring for Kids Book by Book campaign.

Friday, our drive got an even bigger boost thanks to the Brownie troops from the Riverbend Service Unit. They went door to door collecting old books from neighbors and friends as part of their community service project.

There's still time for you to help. Just drop off new or gently used books at any Bank of Oklahoma location.

They'll distribute them to literacy organizations across the state.
