LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ The LPGA has reportedly reached an oral agreement for a tournament at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers starting next year. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper, citing unnamed sources, reported to that a three-year deal had been agreed to.
The tournament will likely be held in September and will be sponsored by John Q- Hammons Hotels, which also sponsors an LGPA Tour stop in Tulsa.
An official announcement is expected at a news conference that's tentatively scheduled for July 24th at Pinnacle Country Club. The tournament will be known as the Northwest Arkansas LPGA Championship.
