LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ San Antonio's Wladimir Balentien hit a line drive over the wall in left field to beat Tulsa's Joe Koshansky in the Texas League Home Run Derby.

The six-person competition began before the start of the Texas League All-Star game, held at the Arkansas Travelers' Ray Winder Field. Balentien and Koshansky qualified for the finals, which took place after the third inning last night.

Each player had 10 outs in the preliminary round -- each swing not ending in a homer counting as an out. In the final round, each player was supposed to have five outs, but when neither homered, a three-out tiebreaker was needed.

The South Division led the North Division 1 to 0 through four innings in the All-Star game.
