Tulsa Police make two arrests in a drive by shooting case from Monday that left a 4 year old boy seriously hurt.

Police have two men in custody who they believe were planning to settle the score.

News on 6 reporter Emory Bryan says the little boy and his grandmother were hit - but police say they were not the intended victims. Tulsa Police say rival gang members were shooting at a man in the driveway. They've arrested him and another man who they believe were planning a retaliation shooting.

Erlene Armstrong came to the scene of the shooting hoping to find out why her son had been arrested in the case. "He's not about that, he's not a gang member, he works and he has a son, and he needs to come home." But her son DeAngelo Cooper is in the Tulsa County jail, along with Robert Holmes.

And with those arrests, Tulsa Police say they disrupted a plan to retaliate for Monday afternoon's shooting in the 5600 block of North Garrison Court.

Someone shot Lisa Brown and her 4 year-old grandson ReShannon Phillips Jr., in a drive by at a house. The suspects were in an Olds Bravada, and Tulsa Police say Cooper knows who they are. The two men arrested were in or around this car, which was parked in the driveway, but the bullets went in the front door of the home.

18 year old Cooper was the intended target, police believe. They say even though he knows the shooters, he won't give the names to police. They say he exchanged words with the shooters at the scene, but refused to talk to detectives.

Tulsa Police say 20 year old Robert "Fat" Holmes was found with a loaded gun and has a gun case pending. Police say he told them he "would get revenge for the shooting" and they consider him a certified gang member.

Relatives of the victims say they don't understand it. Johnny Martin: "I don't know, don't know, it must just be a drive by." Johnny Martin says both ReShannon and Brown are doing well after surgery. She was shot in the hand. ReShannon was hit in the stomach.

Wilson says she doesn't understand it either - but she doesn't believe her son did anything wrong. "He said he hit the ground when he heard the bullets flying and they took everybody downtown for questioning and they kept him."

Tulsa Police have some leads on the shooters, but still are trying to sort out who did the shooting and who all was planning to retaliate. They say this is all the work of the Hoover Crips.
