MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) _ A Keefeton woman is being given probation after pleading guilty to leaving her 2-year-old granddaughter locked in a pickup truck last August while she gambled inside a casino.
Loretta Webb was given a two-year deferred sentenced and fined 200 dollars for leaving the child inside the locked pickup while she played slot machines at the Creek Nation Travel Plaza.
Webb says she went into the plaza to buy a soda and played slots for about ten minutes before she was called outside where the child had been found hot and sweaty, but uninjured.
Investigators say time-stamped tickets show Webb was inside the plaza for about 45 minutes.
Webb also lost guardianship of the child and the girl is now in the custody of her paternal grandparents.
