An Oklahoma soldier is back home from Iraq.
There were cheers followed by hugs when US Army Captain Alan Brown got off the plane, Monday night in Tulsa. Brown was stationed in Iraq for nearly a year.
“I'm just grateful to have been able to serve and I hope to lead by example, and others will follow what we're doing in Iraq for the Iraqi people. I've seen first hand I think everybody deserves to be free, and that includes the Iraqi people.â€
Captain Brown received a purple heart for wounds sustained in a mortar attack on his camp.
Next order of business for the Brown family, a Bar-B-Q.
