There's a new symbol associated with the American Red Cross, the Red Crystal.

Certain cultures find it difficult to identify with the Red Cross and Red Crescent emblems, the most commonly recognized symbols of assistance for victims of conflict or natural disasters.

To resolve the issue, the Red Crystal was adopted as an additional emblem, alongside the Cross and Crescent. The new symbol also paves the way for Israel's full recognition as part of the International Red Cross.
